Welcome to Ramadan 2017 (1438 A.H)

The Holy month of Ramadhan is schedule to begins, Insha-Allah, by May 27, 2017 based on moon sighting.

  1. ASSALATU PRAYER SESSION:
    Our regular assalatu prayer will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 6pm during this noble month. This will give all members and guests the opportunity to listen to Tafseer lecture, read the Holy Qur’an and break fast (iftar) together at the Masjid.
  2. TAHAJJUD:
    Tahajjud will take place every Friday night at 12 AM till Sahoor. Please note during on this Friday night, Taraweeh prayer will come up at 12am
  3. ISLAMIC & ARABIC CLASS:
    Arabic classes for children will also be changed from morning to evening starting at 7:00 PM every Saturday and Sunday at NASFAT Atlanta Masjid
  4. TARAWEEH PRAYER:
    We will be observing Taraweeh prayer every day during the month of Ramadan immediately after Isha Salat at 10:15 pm except on Fridays which start at 12AM. Remember the Masjid is open all day and we are observing all the daily Salat prayers.
  5. RAMADAN 30 DAYS OF GIVING:
    Starting on May 27, 2017, if 100 people give $10 each every day in the holy month of Ramadan, will have $1,000 per day. Or you can give $10 a day or $70 a week or $300 a month and in 30 days, we will reach our goal of $30,000.   6. LAST TEN DAYS OF RAMADHAN (I’tikaf):
    We will be observing I’tikaf, the last ten days of Ramadan at Masjid and you should try to observe it if you can. We will be observing Tahajjud on the odd nights starting from 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and the 29th of Ramadan.
  7. 'Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, used to practice I`tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan" [Bukhari].
  8. LAILATUL QADRI:
    Special Tahajjud\Lailatul Qadri will be observed on one of the odd nights during the last ten days of Ramadan. We will be announcing it later.
  9. FRIDAY JUMAH PRAYER:
    Adhan and Khutbah starts at 1:45 PM
    Iqama and Prayer starts at 2:15 PM
  10. HOSING OF Sahoor and Iftar MEALS during RAMADAN:
    NASFAT Members will be grouped to provide Sahoor and Iftar meals during Ramadan. They will be grouped into four groups. Group 1 will be hosting on June 2 – 4, 2017. Group 2 will be hosting on June 9 – 11, 2017. Group 3 will be hosting on June 16 – 18, 2017. Group 4 will be hosting on June 23 – 25, 2017. Coordinators of each group will be contacting members on what will be done and when they will be meeting.
