Last Ten Days of Ramadan (I’tikaf) Start in Two Days, June 26, 2016

We will be observing I’tikaf, the last ten days of Ramadan at Masjid starting from Sunday night and you should try to observe it if you can.

There will be a daily Iftar at the Masjid for these last Ten days. So feel free and endeavor to stop by for Break Fast while listening to Tafseer, making Du’a and observing Taraweeh prayer.

Kindly let us know if you will be joining us in observing I’tikaf via email or phone, so we can plan Iftar and Suhoor accordingly.

We need sponsors and volunteer towards providing daily Iftar and Suhoor. If you are interested, please contact the Welfare, Brother Sodiq Agboola at 678-468-0428 and Sister Fausat Agbelega at 770-895-2666

Aisha reported that the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam, used to practice I`tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan" [Bukhari].
Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Hurayrah said “When Ramadan would come, the Messenger of Allah would say, “Verily, the month of Ramadan has come to you all. It is a blessed month, which Allah has obligated you all to fast. During it the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are shackled”. In it there is a night that is better than one thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its good, then he has truly been deprived.)” An-Nasa’i recorded this same Hadith. So, there is no better time to ask Allah (SWT) to make all that easier than NOW. May Allah (SWT) make it easy on and for us, Aamin.
Lailatul-Qadr 2016

Welcome to Ramadan 1437 A.H (2016)

The Holy month of Ramadan is here and it is begins, Inshall-Allah, on June 6, 2016 based on moon sighting. It is a time of reflection and self renewal. Ramadan is a period of fasting, reflection, devotion, generosity and sacrifice observed by Muslims around the world. It is observed during the ninth lunar month of the Islamic calendar.

“O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint“ Qur’an 2:183
"Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book. Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. GOD wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify GOD for guiding you, and to express your appreciation."Qur’an 2:185
